Update 6/1/26: After my previous experience, Adam from Uchiba reached out and showed genuine concern for how things unfolded. He invited me back for the next Ramen Night, and the difference was noticeable. The service was attentive and polished, with Eric providing great menu and drink recommendations and Stephanie ensuring we were well taken care of. The featured gumbo ramen wasn't quite my style, but the hospitality more than made up for it. We also loved the ube dessert, and the kitchen even packed our leftovers for us. This visit delivered the elevated dining experience I expect from a restaurant of this caliber, and I appreciate the team's commitment to making things right. ______________________ TL;DR 5/4/26 - First Monday of each month is ramen night hosted by a guest chef. Reservations recommended. Service is slow. Staff should be more thoughtful, considerate, and kind in their interactions with customers. Just finished one of the best meals. I am in town for work so dined solo and got lucky to have made the reservation on their monthly uncommon ramen night. Everything looked so good on the menu I could not decide to try the special ramen or other things on the menu. My server “Honey” was so patient and knowledgeable about the menu, she had fantastic recommendations and explained why those items will go well together. I eat out a lot and am a huge foodie, she is one of the best waiters/waitresses I have ever had. Everything she recommended was delicious and unique. It made my stay in Dallas extra special.

First time here and also for my birthday dinner with my wife and daughter. Initially came for Uchi but it wasn’t until on the drive home that I realized we dined at Uchiba instead. With that being said. From the moment we pulled up, Geo at the valet was welcoming and his enthusiasm and energy set the tone immediately. V our server helped us and was very patient while we chose what to have. Her recommendations did not miss! And listen, my wife hardly eats anything outside of chicken at seafood focused restaurants but this made her venture out. She loved it! So if she approves I approve. I’m on bodybuilding prep so I had a mix of different tuna and salmon maki with a spicy tuna roll. And they gifted me a Hirame Usuzukuri by surprise. Topped of what already was an incredible first time here.. added bonus, my daughter enjoyed herself also. From the valet to the server to the other bringing our food to the hostess who was happy to take a picture of me and my wife and daughter. 5 star experience. Birthday dinner well spent! Will most def be back.

Very disappointed! Celebrated our anniversary at Uchiba in Dallas (first time here, though we love Uchi). Food was good, fresh and creative, as expected from the Uchi group. Service was friendly overall. However, I noted it was our anniversary when booking via Capital One, but we were seated at the sushi bar. It’s fine for casual dining, but not ideal for a special romantic dinner. I asked to switch to a table; the hostess said no, as tables were booked for the next two hours. It lacked that thoughtful touch for a flagged occasion. Food was good, but we’d skip it for future special events, probably stick to Tei Tei Robata located in Knox Henderson instead. Overall: 3.5 out of 5 stars. Food: 3/5, Service: 3/5, Atmosphere/Experience: 3/5.

I’ve loved this restaurant for years — it used to be my absolute favorite happy hour spot when I worked downtown. The food is still good, which I truly appreciate. However, I was really disappointed during my most recent visit. We were texted just a couple of hours before our reservation that happy hour was no longer available, even though the website still advertised it. I’d definitely recommend calling ahead to confirm if you’re planning to go for happy hour. I was also surprised to see that about half of the menu has been cut, and the service just didn’t feel the same. The warm smiles and welcoming vibe that made this place special seemed to be missing. I barely saw our server and ended up not ordering any drinks because of it. It makes me sad because this has been my favorite restaurant for years. I’m hoping they can bring back the experience that made it so special.
